Verderpro VPR feed hopper pump for high viscous products

Can you pump non-fluidizing products?

Yes! The VPR series of Verderpro is specially designed for pumping difficult products for many applications such as:

  • waste of slaughter houses and rendering plants (dead chickens)
  • crushing of fruit for juice production (apples, redcurrants)
  • crushing vegetables (carrots, celeriac, cabbage)
  • pumping soya beans

How to make this possible?

All VPR feed hopper pumps are designed with a wide throat (inlet) and feed screw, that enables non-fluidizing products to enter the pump.
But there is more. The Verderpro VPR range comprises at least 9 pump types, each with specific advantages, to fit to your application.

  • flow rates: 50 l/h - 300 m³/h, pressure up to 36 bar
  • with bare shaft end or “close coupled”
  • feed screw adapted to the product to be pumped
  • feed hopper length can be adapted to the application
  • square hopper with inspection holes on both sides
  • bridge breaker with two rotating paddle shafts and separate drive

The importance of seals

For the shaft seals of these feed hopper pumps you can choose a gland packing, a single or double mechanical seal or a mechanical seal with quench (especially for adhesive products).

Material selection of feed hopper pumps

When configuring a feed hopper pump for your process, the selection of materials is of high importance.
The housing, rotor, stator and rotating parts are available in many materials, such as GG25, ST 37-2, AISA 304, AISA 316, etc. The stator material is Buna-N.

Choose the best pumping solution

Realizing there is almost no limitation in high viscous products it is a hard job to select the best pump for your application.
